Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and StonkLab Inc. (company number 1768908-0, registered at 20829 77A Avenue, Unit 414, Langley Township, BC V2Y 0Y5, Canada), which operates RoomRiff at roomriff.com. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use RoomRiff.

1. Who may use RoomRiff

You may create an account only if all of the following are true:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You can form a binding contract with us.
• You have never been convicted of a felony, a sex offence, or any crime of violence, and are not on any sex offender register.
• We have not previously banned you.

One person, one account. Accounts are personal to you and may not be sold, shared or transferred.

Where RoomRiff is offered

RoomRiff is offered to residents of Canada, the United States, India and the Philippines. We do not market it in, or direct it at, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or any other region, and we do not intend to accept members from them. If you are outside those four countries, please do not create an account. We may close accounts that appear to fall outside this limit.

2. Your account

Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at contact@stonklab.com if you think someone else has access to it.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

3. Your content

Your photos, bio, prompt answers and messages remain yours. You keep ownership of everything you post.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and transmit that content solely in order to operate RoomRiff — for example, showing your profile to a member whose filters you match, or delivering a message to your match. This licence exists only so the app can function. We do not use your content for advertising or marketing, and the licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You confirm that you own or have the right to post everything you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

4. Rules of conduct

Our Community Guidelines form part of these terms. In short, do not:

• Impersonate anyone, or post photos that are not of you.
• Harass, threaten, stalk, defame or abuse anyone.
• Post sexually explicit imagery, or anything involving minors.
• Solicit money, advertise, recruit, or run any kind of scam.
• Use RoomRiff for prostitution or trafficking of any kind.
• Scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, or use bots against the service.
• Share another member’s private information or messages without their consent.

5. Safety — please read this

We do not conduct criminal background checks or identity verification on members. We cannot and do not confirm that anyone is who they claim to be.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members. Take the ordinary precautions: meet in public, tell someone where you are going, arrange your own transport, and do not send money to anyone you have met here. If someone makes you uncomfortable, block and report them — both are one tap away in the app.

6. Free use and fair usage

RoomRiff is free to use. Free accounts may send between 25 and 50 likes in any rolling 24-hour period, depending on how many people are available to you; passes are unlimited. We may change these limits. If we ever start charging for something you already have, we will tell you first.

7. RoomRiff Plus

RoomRiff is entirely free to use, and nothing on it is paid for today. We had planned an optional paid tier called RoomRiff Plus. It is not currently available: our payment provider does not serve dating businesses, so there is nothing to buy.

Nobody has ever been charged for RoomRiff, no card details have ever been collected, and no payment provider holds any information about you. Every feature the app has is available to every member.

If we do introduce a paid tier later, we will publish the price and the cancellation and refund terms here first, and ask you to accept the updated document before anything is charged. We will never start charging for something you already have without telling you first.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or the Community Guidelines, or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect other members. Where it is practical and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.

You may stop using RoomRiff at any time by deleting your account.

9. The service is provided “as is”

We work to keep RoomRiff running and secure, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that you will meet anyone. To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StonkLab Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the conduct of any member — online or offline. Our total liability to you, for all claims taken together, is limited to the greater of CAD 100 or the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. For a free account that ceiling is CAD 100. For a Plus subscriber it is whichever is larger — CAD 100, or what you have actually paid us over the past year.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights your local law gives you.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in. Continuing to use RoomRiff after accepting means you agree to the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of British Columbia, Canada, and the courts of British Columbia, Canada have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in your own country of residence, and mandatory consumer protections there continue to apply.
